FAQs
Where do you ship from?
All orders are carefully packed and shipped from my little studio in the UK. I re-use as much packaging as possible.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! I happily send knits around the world. Shipping rates for 1 to 2 items are calculated at checkout but if you’d like to purchase 3 or more items send me a message and I’ll send you a separate quote. Please note that buyers are responsible for any additional customs fees.
US customers: To keep things simple and avoid surprise fees, a 16% sales tax has been added to your order. This covers the new tariff introduced by the US government on international (woollen) goods from the UK (effective August 29, 2025), so there shouldn’t be any extra costs when your order arrives.
EU Customers: From 12 August 2026, new EU packaging regulations (the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, or PPWR) come into effect. These rules introduce additional packaging compliance and registration requirements for businesses selling goods to customers in the EU, including small businesses based outside the EU.
As a small business, I’m reviewing these new requirements and how best to comply with them. Rather than risk passing additional costs or administrative requirements on to customers while I work this out, I have temporarily paused direct EU shipping from my website.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience, and I hope to be able to offer EU shipping again in the future!
How long will my order take to arrive?
UK orders usually arrive within 5 working days. International orders can take 1–3 weeks depending on location and customs. Please contact me before ordering if you have a specific delivery deadline.
Can I track my order?
Yes — as soon as I post your order, I’ll email you the tracking details so you can keep an eye on its journey.
How do I know if an item will fit me?
Most product pages include detailed measurements taken flat. I recommend comparing them to a favourite jumper you own.
What condition should I expect?
These knits have lived a life before you so some may have little quirks — a faint mark, a slightly uneven stitch — but that’s what makes them unique. I always note any imperfections in the description. :)
Do you accept returns?
UK customers can return their items (in the same condition as received) within 14 days of delivery. Send me a message via the ‘Contact me’ page to start the return. Unfortunately I don’t currently offer returns to international customers.
How do I wash and care for my sweater?
I recommend gentle hand-washing in cool water with a wool-friendly soap, then laying flat to dry. No tumble drying!
Most vintage knits prefer hand-washing, but if you choose to use a machine, pop it in on a delicate/wool cycle with cold water.
